Collegiate Kayak Fishing Series

The Collegiate Kayak Fishing Series (CKFS) is the only kayak based tournament series specifically designed for students attending our nation’s colleges, universities and trade schools. Designed to promote the development of intercollegiate kayak sport fishing clubs across the country, CKFS is partnering with leaders in the outdoor industry to offer both scholarships and internships to participating members.

The CKFS is one of two tournament driven flagship programs of the Kayak Anglers Society of America (KASA), a non profit 501c3 organization which promotes the sport of kayak angling across the nation. As such, the series is a competitive venue designed to offer collegiate anglers a chance to compete against like individuals/clubs from around the country. Clubs/teams will compete on a divisional level, then progress up through regional contests and finally to the national level, culminating in the CKFS National Championship. Club, divisional, regional and national Angler of the Year awards will also be awarded on an individual and team basis, based on criteria set forth by CKFS.

The Kayak Anglers Society of America and the Collegiate Kayak Fishing Series are dedicated to elevating the sport of kayak angling to levels unimagined only a short time ago, and introducing the sport to areas where it has never been.
